I will dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
